Cemetery Division

The Factory Point Cemetery was transferred from an independently elected board to the Selectboard in 2009 by Town Meeting (Article 6). The Advisory Committee on Cemeteries is responsible for advising the Selectboard on policy, planning, finance, operations and other matters related to the Factory Point Cemetery. The Cemetery is maintained by the Department of Public Works.

Located on Cemetery Avenue within one of the Town's historic districts, the Cemetery includes graves from the mid- and late-1700s. The Cemetery is the resting place for veterans from many of America's conflicts and wars, including the War of Independence and the Civil War.

Cynamon Marshall serves as the cemetery administrator. Questions about the cemetery including purchasing burial plots should be directed to Cynamon at (802) 362-1313, option 6, or c.marshall@manchester-vt.gov.
